In the month of June, work continued on the completion of the structural steel on the south end of the building.
Other work performed last month includes: completion of the setting of all of the columns for the roof structure; the tie in and setting of the last of the girders and joist to finish placing the last of the roof deck. Also, completion of all the structural welding, the shooting deck pins, and the detailing the roof deck steel occurred. There were numerous structural special inspections conducted in order to confirm that the building is being built per plans and specifications.
Moving forward, the Project is in the process of getting the building roof structure inspected and approved so that the installation of the roofing membrane and drying in of the roof can be finished. This consists of ensuring that all roof openings are in place, including 60 roof drains to be installed and tied into the underground drainage system.
Additional significant construction progress will continue throughout the summer months.
